Review: Earth Friendly Baby

29 04 2012
Initial thoughts: We were sent some Organic Red Clover Diaper Care Cream and some soothing Organic Chamomile Body Lotion from Earth Friendly Baby to try. When they arrived I liked the packaging and the fact that it is clear that these have been developed using natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals.

We liked: Kate has suffered at times from bad nappy rash so we have used the diaper cream a lot. It works brilliantly, just as well as some other less natural brands that we have used. It is thick and sits on the skin and reduces the rash quickly. We have kept the tube in her nursery bag and it has lasted well. The body lotion has a lovely fragrance and leaves the skin feeling soft. It is nice to know that there are no chemicals in the products.

We didn’t like: I found that the body lotion was too thick for my liking and felt like it sat on the skin leaving a sticky feeling. Kate is a wriggler and I need to use something light that is quickly absorbed before she is off again. The price of the products is quite high in comparison to other baby brands but you are paying for organic ingredients and the reassurance that there are no harmful chemicals.

Overall: I would buy the nappy cream again as it works well and I like the fact that it is natural. However I find the body lotion to be a little thick for our needs and so I am on the hunt for something a little lighter. That said I have used it on very dry patches of skin on both children which it has been great for.
